My BOY!!

Tonight was Luke's last regular season game. He had not scored any points in any of the other games this year, even though he was a great defender! Tonight my boy rebounded the ball, dribbled all the way down the court, and proceeded to make a basket!! He did it TWICE! Luke scored 4 points for the Bulls!! Way to go Luke Thomas!! This is a small picture, but it shows Luke scoring his very 1st basket!!

In the end- the Bulls beat the Celtics by ONE point!! You would have thought I was watching UK win the National Championship game as loud as I was cheering!! Now, we need to practice for the tournament coming up next weekend!

The Kinect

Well, I have been trying to lose weight since before Christmas and have only lost 7 pounds so far. However, I am not to be discouraged, because...... I have found the perfect workout. Yes, working out with my friends, Misty and Rhonda, is a blast and I would love to work out with them on a daily basis. But..... if I have to work out on my own, I work out to Your Shape on the XBox 360 Kinect! It is a great work out and lots of fun!

Misty and Rhonda had me working out to Jillian Michaels and the crazy guy on P90X.
The two together on the same day almost killed me!

I guess they will have to come over here to work out every once in a while so I can get a break! :)

Mommy's Little Boy

Layton Asher is a little comedian! I will have to add some videos later of him dancing, making faces, and playing the Wii. He is definietly a momma's boy! I always complained about Luke being a daddy's boy- he was and still is Mark's little shadow. But now, I have my own little shadow. Lay is at the "why?" stage right now and my response of "just cause" is not working anymore. He is already a pretty talened basketball star- he can even dribble behind his back at the young age of two!! He definitely adds adventure to my life.

Luke and his "New" hair!

So, Luke decided he wanted to grow his hair out like his cousin, Nicholas. He has been growing it out for a little over a month now. It is in the in-between stage where you can't really do anything with it. So, Luke has decided he wants to spike it- so here is a pic of my little porcupine!

WHY?

I love my boys dearly, but by goodness the fighting is about to wear me out!! They fight more than they get along. We haven't been home for a little more than an hour and Layton has been crying for about 30 minutes because Luke keeps taunting him!! UGH!! I hope they don't always fight like this. They are arguing right now because Luke won't give Layton the "chapped lips". Layton has a tendency to eat the chapstick, but at this point I would rather him just eat it so he would quit crying!!

This is Lay's chapstick of choice. I have to keep stock in it since I am addicted to it too! Fortunately, I don't eat it, so I can keep mine a little longer!

Snow Day #12

Well, it is snow day #12 in Scott County! Usually I keep the boys home on snow days, but thought I would get more cleaning accomplished if they went to school today. So, since I had already showered and gotten ready (because Scott didn't call school off until after 6:00) I helped Mark get the boys ready for school. It took him 20 minutes to get the boys there and it usually only takes about 5! Meanwhile, I got the dishwasher going and a load of laundry started. Then I decided I should catch up on Teen Mom and The Bachelor while the dishes and clothes were going. Later in the afternoon I went to get the boys and when we got home they went straight to where they always go as soon as they get home- the basketball goal. My boys are obsessed with basketball!! Here is a picture of them playing today.
